Called to change my address, Cant speak english very hard to understand what they are saying. Have to constant repeat answers. It took lots of overdoing verification answers and they still would not update my new address they wanted more.I gave them check numbers and amounts and recites, SS # mothers maiden name old street address telephone numbers debit transfers , where I opened branch and what city and what state and when year, Check deposits recently ,old addresses, zip code, cell number and amounts date of birth ect ect ect can you come into our branch I am in Florida not mass

Need to speak to representative

I do not have a Citizens Bank account but was informed on 12/26/21 that there was fraudulent activity with my account. I need to speak with someone to resolve this issue and can not get through to an actual person.

Impossible to get a human if not a current customer/about to take over my bank

My bank will be taken over by Citizens Bank next month. My current bank informed me when taken over a service I utilize will no longer be offered. I would like to speak with someone at Citizens Bank regarding services, accounts etc. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a human for help. I located a number for sales knowing would reach a human who could not help (did not expect them to) and did not make any attempts to be helpful (thought they might offer how to reach a human): guess no sale/no convo. I will be changing banks before the takeover. Their loss.

Working with employees at Citizens Bank is like walking back in time to the stone age. Antiquated policies, technology and terrible, ignorant off shore customer service that doesn't have a clue what they're doing. The US based customer service is only a half step ahead of the off shore. Do youself a favor and stay away...faaaaar away.

Fraudulent Charges not resolved

We have been customers for over 20 years. Recently, there were a number of fraudulent charges made on our debit card. I filed a disput and Citizens determined there was no fraud, I re-opened the dispute three times and they told me there is nothing else they can do. The charges amount to more than $500 dollars and it has been six weeks and we still have no money and there is basically nothing left for us to do, according to their fraud department. We are going to switch all of our accounts, this is terrible customer service.

After receiving an invitation to open an account and receive $600 and being PRE APORIVED for a line of credit , I thought this works be a great opportunity to pay off my credit card bills . So I applied , receive a letter saying I was approved for XXXX amount of money I supplied all the documents , SEVERAL TIMES, it took weeks and nothing ever happened ! I was so disgusted I pulled my application . Now I have a useless account and checks that I paid for . What a joke!

In early May 2021, I called the provided number for Citizens Bank "CASH BACK PLUS" to close my account down. I have a letter in my possession, dated May 21, 2021, that the account was closed. Next month I received a due balance. They stated it was because of me not changing the charging account information with Amazon. So I did and paid what was due. July zero balance on Citizens account. August have due $13.77. Call and wait several times only to be told that the account was NOT closed. Told again that she closed the account, but that money is still to be paid! Horseradish!!!

I cannot due my income tax for Environment Monitoring Technologies.

My wife recently went to our Local Branch in Oakland that we deal with every Day.

She was very successful getting our Platinum Account taken care of by Mr. Darko Nikolic NMLS ID # 104338.

We also have two Corporations that she owns , I Operate as the President. They were very successful for the longest time with Citizen Bank but last year they struggled because of the problems the Oil and Gas companies in P.A. resent Government elimination of some of the Oil and Gas local industry we lost several contracts, and we are not bringing in the revenue of the past.

Just recently I came across a company that we dealt with in the past that took out money from EMT to pay for software we did not order. I went to our branch, and they were trying to help us recover, the money.

It was for the 2020 Corporation taxes that were due. I was working with my tax return company that did my taxes every year. In order to give them all the information they need to proceed forward I would go on the internet and copy all years accounts for them both and explain the purchases and where the revenue came from and who the product was made for by EMT. I pulled Nitor off the Internet and proceeded to finalize my information for the Nitor Accountant.

Next I needed to get EMT ready for them and could not pull the Account up on the internet.

I met with Darko, and he told me that he would contact the people in their company that were involved with these problems. He told me that day he was still working with cooperate to get the information I requested he would send me the Account Statement by mail, or he would send them to me on my internet. Knowing that I was still going in and out of the hospital for Heart issues. He would make sure I received them either send them to me or if my wife could pick them up at the Oakland Branch.

Several Days later I received an E-Mail from Darko saying that he was told by them that they put the EMT Account Statement Information in the Archives and if I wanted them it would cost me $6.00 per z sheet and $30.00 per hour for us to get them.

Last years Copy for EMT were some in the 60s.

That alone would be $360.00 and throw in the labor cost that would probably be high if the same people were involved.

Darko apologized and ask if I wanted to proceed. With the payments even though we didnt know the total cost. I wrote back and told Darko that my wife and I would pull all three of our accounts if we needed to make a

Payment. We will tell our family members and friends what Citizens Oakland Branch is doing to us.

They are the people that we recommended joining the Oakland branch of Citizens because of the wonderful people that work in the Oakland branch.

NASTY FOREIGN CUSTOMER SERVICE

ShockedI've had a loan with Citizens now going on 4 years. When I was in rehab and unable to make my payments in a timely manner, Citizens worked with me.

It was wonderful. Here in the past 1.5 years I'm back to working and my account is on track. Today, March 19, 2021 I had the horrible experience of dealing with people who cannot speak English. They were rude and very unprofessional.

I asked if they were in the United States, both said "yes". I also asked for a supervisor, that when they hung the phone in my ear. It happened four times. One female (not a lady) answered the phone as if she was talking to someone off the street or maybe at home.

I will never call Citizens again to make a payment. Going forward I will use the US Post Office.

I can't believe Citizens is doing so bad financially that it has to hire people from other countries for customer service, who cannot speak English. Customer Service is now dead at Citizens Bank. They don't deserve one star but after reaching someone 1.5 hrs.

Oh by the way Randy was just as horrible.

She hates her job and sounds as if she can't take it anymore. She was depressing.

Annoying emails every day

They continue to send emails every day with my balance which is zero and the card has been canceled since October 2020. Branch office associates have called Four times I have called at least six times and they say it is taken care of every time but the emails keep coming. How can you trust a bank that cant even straighten this problem out? Beware of Citizens Bank!!

Reported missing ATM card a week ago. Received a text message 8 days later to inform me my card has been dispatched and should arrive in another 3-5 business days. Tried to speak to someone on the phone, spent 35 minutes on hold before I gave up and hung up. Used that 35 minutes to set up a new bank account online. Bye bye Citizens Bank!!!
